Jason says: “We are incredibly grateful to Dan and, indeed, to all our runners for their commitment to raising money for Meeting Needs. We understand that Dan has been hitting the pavement hard and is well on track with his training plan.”
“As the events industry charity, we rely on the generosity and commitment of people like Dan, and we are always on the lookout for more fundraisers, charity partners and all those able to make gifts or donations to support fundraising initiatives, from within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events industry (MICE),” he adds.
Dan, who is aiming to raise £500 for the charity, says: “Jason asked me to take part to raise money for Meeting Needs. I just couldn’t say no to such a worthwhile cause. They support approximately 30 projects every year, helping worthy causes in the UK and overseas. The Royal Parks Half Marathon is an important fundraising initiative for the charity.”
“This will be my fourth half marathon, I’ve been following a 12-week training plan and running about four times per week. I’m hoping for a personal best, but it will all depend on the weather, as I don’t cope too well with running in the heat,” he adds.
