Project Manager – Tobacco Dock

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Department Location: Anna Velley Rental

Main Purpose: The purpose of the predominantly on site based role is to work closely with the Broadcast & Events departments to technically deliver each project professionally to the client’s brief.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To liaise closely with Clients to ensure the excellent delivery of projects and meet the client’s needs.
• To attend planning meetings and help provide detailed and accurate scope of works, costs and design and quote for bookings.
• To take responsibility for the booking within the Operating Software and produce required documentation.
• To advise, specify and manage CADs, schematics, equipment lists and liaise with the Hire Desk regarding shortages.
• To liaise closely with the Operations Team to organise kit, crew and trucking logistics.
• To plan the project to high standards of H&S, creating H&S documentation, and ensuring Health and Safety requirements are adhered to throughout the project.
• Support and manage onsite technicians and crew in the successful delivery of events at a specified venue.
• To manage resources and support from elsewhere across the business / group.
• Manage the equipment stored onsite within a specified venue.
• To provide an operational point of contact for Clients and Sales team and liaise effectively in a timely manner.
• To manage project budgets and liaise with the Accounts and Operations Team to initiate invoicing.
• To complete project debrief with the client, ensuring any completion processes are followed and feedback gained.
• To provide client feedback into the management system and enable quality assurance.
• Any other duties as required

Project Engineer – Broadcast

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Department Location: Anna Velley Rental

Skills:

A broad experience and deep understanding of the following is required:
• PPU (Portable Production Units) based on Ross & BlackMagic system
• Camera operation and setup – studio, live systems, PTZs and camcorders.
• Broadcast audio and lighting requirements.

• Broadcast recording systems.
• Experience of working in TV studios and corporate venues as well as on live events.
• Rack building

Venue Account Manager – Tobacco Dock

Reporting to: Director of Events

Department Location: Tobacco Dock – London

Main Purpose: The purpose of this role is to develop new relationships, identifying and securing new business opportunities within the venue division whilst maintaining regular contact and develop outstanding working relationships with the Venue teams. The successful candidate must be commercially aware, client facing with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead pitches and proven experience of a similar role within the Audio-Visual market  with evidence to support this.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The Account Manager will be a part of the Venue division team providing delivering measured growth.
  • Actively developing business from new clients / prospects
  • Generating and converting leads from venue and self-generated.
  • Researching and contacting new prospect businesses
  • Securing a pipeline of ongoing profitable revenue
  • Work closely with all internal departments of the business to ensure all services of the business are offered and upsold
  • Booking and attending client meetings

Venue Technician – Tobacco Dock

Main purpose

Venue Account Manager - ExCeL

Reporting To: Director of Venues

Department Location: Venue specific – ExCeL

Main Purpose: The purpose of this role is to develop new relationships, identifying and securing new business opportunities within the venue division whilst maintaining regular contact and develop outstanding working relationships with Venue teams.

Main Purpose:

Main Purpose

To ensure the highest standards of quality in maintaining our LED equipment and accessories

• To ensure the thorough check in of LED equipment and accessories.

• To maintain and manage accurate product stock levels in relation to LED Equipment.
• To service and maintain LED equipment on return and ensure it is ready for rental.
• To liaise closely with maintenance regarding the repair of LED equipment.
• To liaise closely with the Technical Manager to develop LED training programmes and resources for Junior / trainee roles.
• To ensure LED Products are suitably prepped and maintained in perfect working order.

Prep Technician

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor

Department Location: Feltham, Middlesex & onsite

Main Purpose:

To ensure that all equipment is prepared for rental to an excellent standard.

Duties and
Responsibilities:

• To ensure that jobs are prepped to exacting standards, customised for each project, and all equipment leaves the warehouse in perfect condition.
• To assist with the check in of equipment where required.
• To assist Equipment Specialists with the timely turnaround of equipment
• To ensure that warehouse checkout procedures are adhered to
• To liaise with colleagues regarding shortages, sub hires and asset management
• To ensure all bookings are fully checked out on operating software
• To liaise with the Operations and Logistics team to ensure appropriate transport is organised
• To supervise Junior Technicians and On-site Technicians during the preparation of equipment
• To work collaboratively with outside organisations in the preparation of kit when required
• Working on site if required
• Any other duties as required

Skills:

• Previous experience of the Audio-Visual Industry
• Competency with computers including Microsoft 365 Packages (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Junior Technician

Main Purpose

The task of Junior technician is to work with and provide technical support to the Warehouse Department
